Sygni's Special Announcement

Two weeks ago, Sygni decided to take a leave from Big B Radio due to some strange circumstance. Our team at BBR sent a search and rescue team to look for him. No luck though as we only uncovered a broken kendo suit and boxes of unopened Coronas. Last week, he posted up an apology thread up on the forums, for whatever reasons. It appears that yesterday, he actually came back into the chat. However, due to the lack of participants of the chat at times, it was kind of dead. He left a message saying that he had an announcement to make... but what could that announcement be? Who knows.

Now we shall wait in the greatest suspense for Sygni's glorified return to Big B Radio to declare his noble proclamation...

DJ Chunsa's Special-Collaboration-Korean-Pop-Music-Radio Show!

DJ Chunsa's Korean pop (kpop) show will finally air after weeks of anticipation. Her show will debut on the 6th of June, 2008 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Her kpop show is a collaboration with Soompi.com and will have the latest Korean pop news, the top five hits of the Korean pop charts, and other kpop-related matters.

You may have heard news about it on our radio already. Commercials for this show were especially made by some of the Soompi talent team.

ucsdharry says, "I hear it's gonna be crazy."

The show will occur every friday from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Eastern time after the debut date.

[YHBT] BBR SCANDAL

In a recent turn of events, a video has surfaced which captured what appears to be a courtship dating event between two of Big B Radio's old listeners. This video was found out by an anonymous tipper, who is still an active member of BBR, when he randomly spotted this video in one of the listener's MySpace profile. The video features the unlikely pairing of two of Big B Radio's controversial characters, Avon and SwTaZnLayDee, who are both residing somewhere in Southern California (according to both of their MySpace profiles).

From what we previously know about Avon and SwTaZnLayDee, we can conclude that they both do have a lot in common. They both claim that they are very hot and can attract large crowds of the opposite sex at their whim. Also, I like to personally add that they're both very annoying.

In any case, the video in question describes these two individuals walking into a Chuck E. Cheese party holding hands, followed by them eating cheese pizza, playing on the Skeeball machine, and finally entangling in the ball pit. The last scene of this video is considered to be scandalous in that it shows these two individuals kissing for about ten seconds, français-style.

Relief For China

Though we may seem like our concerns are about only entertainment and whatnot, we still care about our local and global community. In all seriousness, when natural disasters do occur, they affect a lot of people in many ways. We know some of you may have been or have relatives who are affected by the earthquake in China. And international aid is hard to collect and distribute these days when the economy's looking bleak, especially when they hit less developed or developing countries. 3.) And follow up with the organization's charity efforts.

This research, conducted by the non-profit organization, 2Hawt Institute Labs, focused on the secretion of oxytocin by the posterior pituitary of the brain upon listening to different Asian radio stations. Oxytocin is a hormone that has been affiliated and released upon touching, kissing, hugging, and orgasm.

In their study, 2Hawt Institute Labs collected the blood samples of over 1000 participants immediately after having each of them listen to these three different radio stations. Also, their blood was tested for the "fight or flight" hormones, adrenaline and noradrenaline (measured in micrograms/milliliter or microg/mL). This is because both adrenaline and noradrenaline are produced upon stress or excitement in anticipation of an event; it prompts the body to take action with a fast response. A test for testosterone was also performed (measured in nanograms per deciliter or ng/dl); testosterone is a sex hormone produced in both males and females and it acts as the perceived 'libido' hormone. Note: These concentration measurements are standardized against an average person's hormonal levels during an average course of a day to ensure accuracy.

This data suggests that listening to Big B Radio will have the largest increase in expression of important hormones in the body from all of the major Asian radio stations studied. The high levels of oxytocin helps with affections and puts you more into a 'loving' mood. Adrenaline and noradrenaline are high in keeping you on your feet. The disappearances of two prominent figures in Big B Radio has led to public distress and prompted a search and rescue team for them. No leads have come up so far and this is why we are asking you to help us locate their whereabouts and their state of being.

The first disappearance occurred last week and the victim in question has been described as a young man in his late teens, of Asian descent, and about 5 feet tall. The second disappearance occurred just yesterday and involves a victim in his early to mid twenties, of questionable Asian descent, and about 6 feet tall. He lives in the south East Coast of the United States and has a fondness for Japanese culture. [YHBT] Proposition 42: Live Video Chat

In a press release held today by Big B Radio's Public Relations Department, a new proposition has been made that would grant a new live audio/video chat into our upcoming website renovations, if passed. However, in order to keep a live audio/video chat operational at all times, a monthly donation of $300 U.S. Dollars is required by our listeners. This will cover all costs of bandwidth consumption and maintenance repairs of the chat. If implemented, the system should go live on June 1st and will replace the current chat interface. It is important that our listeners participate in providing us necessary comments and feedback about a decision to install this service.

From what I can speculate, Jinkst has been floating around from asian radio station to station for a while now, but he tends to have a weird persona. People who have interacted with him long term and on more than a casual basis will tell you that they have never seen him in person or know where he really lives. There are many accounts where people have been shown multiple proclaimed "self-portraits" of him but they tend to be inconsistent, that is, they do not always match. It is said that his wild claims online are "fake." But what is it that he wants to achieve by masking his true identity and intentions? Who knows.

So, who is this mysterious figure, you ask?

As far as I know, these are the only facts that I can gather about him:
1. He calls himself by the following names: Jinkst, Jinkst727, Tommi, and Tommi Johnson, Pigs-In-A-Blanket, etc.
2. He lives somewhere in Florida. Most likely, he lives somewhere around Tampa, Florida as he makes references to "Pho Quyen", which I assume is a chain of Vietnamese restaurants concentrated in the area.
3. He is likely to be of Vietnamese descent. He is said to enjoy Vietnamese culture and cuisine.
4. He's about 23-24 years old, as of the time of this post. This information was retrieved from the birthday given in his Xanga account.
5. He enjoys playing MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games), such as the World of Warcraft and Guild Wars.

He often makes wild claims that seem to be impossible. Here I list and negate some of the claims:
1. He does not work at J.P. Morgan.
2. He does not work at Wall Street Journal.
3. He does not work at Sony.
4. He does not live in Japan. Verified in the past by an IP location trace, which incidentally, pinged to a location in Florida.
5. He does not own a private jet.
6. Even if he did own a jet, he cannot fly in a jet for over 10 hours and be on the phone at the same time with someone who is waiting for him to finish flying about ~1000 miles.

But the most outrageous thing of all to date is that he is "currently in a relationship" with Big B Radio's former DJ Cat. How can you even believe it, right? I know; me neither. Yet, you should also know that to date, they have not met face-to-face, only undergoing an online relationship so far. And whenever Cat sends him gifts to his supposed "location in Japan", she needs to route it through to Florida first. Some kind of suspicious route, if you ask me. (Hopefully, you didn't have to deal with the package, Rip.)

Some rumors about his actual identity are disputed. Some people say that he is who he actually claim he is. Some say that he's an ugly, old, fat guy who just sits in front of his computer all day playing WoW. And other say that he's actually Sygni in disguise. The world may never know.

"The Time Of Your Life"

The following is an instant message conversation between DJ Candiie and Mystik. Candiie describes the events occurring at her prom's after party.

Candiie: ya wanna hear a funny story that happened at afterprom?
Mystik: yeah
Candiie: ok
Candiie: so we had our afterprom at frankies fun park (not sure if you have it over there), but its like a go-karting place with arcades and mini-golf
Mystik: ooo
Mystik: nope, we don't have them
Candiie: so i found this arcade game where you play tic tac toe to win prizes and they have small and grand prizes, small prizes were these disney keychains (they had mickey, minnie, donald, pluto, goofy, and genie)
Candiie: grand prizes were the cd players, and crappy cell phones
Candiie: soo i really wanted the mickey cause its cute
Candiie: but the game costs a dollar to play
Candiie: so i kept playing and kept losing
Mystik: oh
Candiie: and i spent like 7 or 8 bucks on that stupid game
Candiie: so i was really depressed and pissed that i couldn't get it
Candiie: i even asked some people i knew there to try for me
Candiie: well i asked this one kid who's in my precal class

Candiie: i dont like him at all and he's just plain weird, but i called him over and get it for me (basically i used him LOL)
Candiie: so he was like ok
Candiie: but he didnt have enough money on his card
Candiie: and it an arcade card

Candiie: which you put money on and then use the money on the card
Candiie: swipe it on any game and you can play
Candiie: it replaces using the tokens
Candiie: soo he was like, i need more money

Candiie: and then i was like just tapping the buttons on the game
Candiie: and it would talk and say "ok, ready to play tic tac toe?? good luck"
